Jet Aircraft for the Domestic Airline Industry : Marubeni Corporation

Marubeni Corporation is the Japan agent for Brazil’s Embraer S.A., which represents the latest in Brazilian aviation high-technology. The newest small size E170 series (70-90 seats) and E190 series (90-120 seats) have comfortable passenger cabin space and a flying range of 4,445Km. Keeping the increase in aircraft slots based on the expansion of Haneda Airport starting in 2010 and the trend toward miniaturization of aircraft in mind, Marubeni has been conducting sales activities and has received orders from JAL and from Suzuyo & Co., Ltd., a company new to the airline business. The E170 entered service in Japan in February 2009.

Marubeni sees that there is potential demand for smaller size jets in Japan and can further contribute to the development of airline services by increasing the number of aircraft sales.
